About
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This critical role supports our logistics operations by ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within the warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping products, operating equipment, and maintaining a secure and organized workspace. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be essential for success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and finished goods.
- Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment between different warehouse areas.
- Organize and stack inventory, ensuring proper placement and accessibility for efficient retrieval.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, verifying counts and product integrity.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring correct items are packed and labeled for transport.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and stock audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other common warehouse equipment; certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Must be dependable and able to work assigned shifts.
