About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment, contributing directly to the success of our distribution operations. This position requires individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and possess a strong commitment to safety and quality. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves according to order slips and carefully packing them for shipment, ensuring all items are securely and correctly packaged. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, while adhering to strict timelines, will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on customer orders and pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or discrepancies.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, using correct dunnage and labeling.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing packages.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to perform Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety protocols and wearing required PPE .
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
