Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics operations in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials within our facility, ensuring that inventory is organized, accessible, and safely moved. Your responsibilities will include receiving materials, stocking them in designated areas, picking items for production or shipment, and preparing materials for transport. You will work closely with our inventory management systems to maintain accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of Safety and productivity. This role requires a proactive approach to managing materials and supporting overall warehouse operations. Our commitment to Safety is paramount; all employees must follow all Safety protocols rigorously and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves frequent and substantial Lifting of materials, so physical endurance is essential. This is a great opportunity to build a career in the warehousing and logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and identify incoming materials.
  • Stock materials in designated warehouse locations accurately.
  • Pick and prepare materials for production or shipping orders.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Adhere to all Safety procedures and company policies.
  • Properly use all required PPE.
  • Report any material damage or discrepancies immediately.
  • Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety standards.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and logistics is beneficial.
