About
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. You will work closely with the inventory team to maintain stock accuracy and report any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety. Strong organizational skills are essential. You will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to workplace safety and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role involves significant walking and standing throughout the shift, and occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy against pick lists.
- Operate handheld scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
- Understanding of safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
