About
We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art distribution center in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of goods within the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, organizing, and moving a variety of materials and products. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, and potentially assisting with forklift operations if trained. Adherence to all company safety policies and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This is a vital part of our logistics network, ensuring that inventory is accurately managed and readily available for order fulfillment. You will work closely with the inventory control team and other warehouse associates to maintain an efficient and organized workspace. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving material handling issues is highly valued. We are committed to providing a secure and productive work environment. Understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory management principles is beneficial. This role is fundamental to our operational success and requires a team player with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and arrange inventory on shelves and in designated locations.
- Assist with order picking and packing processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols including PPE usage.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing inventory.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and checks.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Experience with material handling equipment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
