About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking orders, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining an organized workspace. This is a crucial position within our distribution center, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will work closely with inventory management systems to ensure all items are accounted for and processed correctly. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to upholding our high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Conduct inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
- Utilize scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory systems is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
