We are looking for a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our busy logistics facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is essential for the smooth movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently, safely, and accurately. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Your contribution will directly impact the overall productivity and safety of our warehouse operations. We are seeking a reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to following safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory within the warehouse.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory control.
- Assist with the preparation of shipments by staging materials.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all Lifting guidelines to prevent injuries and ensure efficient material movement.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifictions:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, and lift repeatedly.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to teamwork and safety in all logistics activities.
