We are seeking enthusiastic Pickers/Packers to join our dynamic warehouse team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment, directly impacting our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. Your duties will include reading pick lists, using scanning devices, carefully packing items to prevent damage, and staging orders for dispatch. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a good work ethic, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in order fulfillment or a similar warehouse role is beneficial. We place a high priority on Safety and require all team members to strictly adhere to safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. This position involves physical activity, including consistent Lifting and standing. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order sheets or RF scanner.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas for outbound logistics.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all company Safety policies and guidelines.
- Utilize required PPE at all times.
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse role is preferred. Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Good organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
