Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our team at our Minneapolis, Minnesota distribution center. This role is fundamental to the seamless operation of our logistics network, ensuring materials are moved, organized, and staged effectively. You will be responsible for handling a variety of goods, maintaining an organized workspace, and adhering to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and understands the importance of efficiency in a warehouse setting. Your contributions are vital to keeping our supply chain moving smoothly.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products.
  • Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment.
  • Stage materials for production, shipping, or other departments.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all company safety policies.
  • Properly use all required PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
  • Be prepared for significant lifting of items up to (specific weight, e.g., 50) pounds, using appropriate lifting techniques.
  • Assist with other logistics and warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately to your supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse role is preferred.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Demonstrated understanding of safe lifting practices and warehouse safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
