General Summary
As a Data Engineering Intern you will gain valuable real-world experience through projects with exposure through the senior leadership level. The Data Engineering Intern will be a member of the Data & Analytics Agile scrum team who will assist in the design, development, and testing of Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assists in following standard development and enhancement process to ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory
  • Document data engineering processes, as needed
  • Investigate data related issues by executing SQL queries

Qualifications

  • Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of the first three years of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university – preferably in a relevant field of study (i.e. Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Math, or Statistics). Completion of graduate-level coursework a plus
  • Theoretical knowledge of Azure Data Factory such as Datasets, Pipelines, Activities, Tasks, Data Flows. Hands on experience preferred
  • Understanding and writing SQL queries/views
  • Conceptual understanding of Data Warehouse design and modeling
  • Desire to learn and teach data engineering techniques in a collaborative environment on an Agile scrum team
  • Preferred experience utilizing R, SQL, Python and/or Snowflake.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial aptitude is helpful to understand business processes
