As a Test Engineer Intern, you will collaborate with experienced Engineers to design, implement, and execute test plans and equipment, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of test equipment, plans, and test cases for electrical and electronic components.
Conduct tests to evaluate product performance under various conditions and document the results accurately.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues effectively.
Participate in the review and analysis of test results to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Support the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies for better efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain test equipment and ensure that it is calibrated, functional, and safe to use.
Report findings and provide recommendations for product improvements based on testing outcomes.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
Strong understanding of electronic circuits, systems, and basic principles of electromagnetism and electronics.
Familiarity with testing methodologies and quality assurance processes in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Ability to analyze data and generate reports detailing test results and observations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and a reference check.
Physical Demands:
Required to stand, walk, type, have eye/hand/foot coordination, grasp, occasionally sit, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, and grasp.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
This position works in a typical office and manufacturing environment.
Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
Additional Information:
This internship position is part of the TXWORKS - Student program. Interested applicants will complete the Student Eligibility Form to get started. TXWORKS-eligible students participating in TXWORKS internships earn a minimum of $20 per hour for at least 8 weeks / 96 hours for internship opportunities. TXWORKS student participants submit their letter of eligibility with the record ID and their college transcript (official or unofficial) with their internship application.
