About

Harris Hardwoods LLC is seeking a qualified Maintenance Lead for our Foreston, MN location.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • General maintenance on all buildings and equipment.
  • Preventative maintenance including greasing and oiling on various machines and equipment
  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies; reads blue prints.
  • Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Conducts quality control checks.
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Mechanical and technical skills including PLC knowledge and experience
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds; continuous standing and walking
  • Safety management mindset
  • Focus on quality control
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
  • Able to climb ladders and work at various heights
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience using CAD or CAM software is a plus
  • Proficient welding experience
  • Machining Experience

All benefits are available on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment, along with the 401(k)-retirement plan, which has a company match. Vacation accrual starts on your first day and can be used after 30 days of employment. Harris Hardwoods LLC also offers an incentive time off policy which you are eligible for during your first year of employment. New hires are eligible for a $2,500 Sign on Bonus.

Wages will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Pay: $62, $68,500.00 per year
