We are looking for an organized and efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Richmond, Virginia. This position is key to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders. Your accuracy and speed directly impact our logistics efficiency. This role requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for extended periods, walking, bending, and performing frequent lifting of items. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Experience using hand-held scanners or other order fulfillment technology is advantageous. You will work collaboratively with a team to meet daily order fulfillment targets in a fast-paced environment. We value dependable individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and pick items from warehouse stock to fulfill orders.
- Verify picked items against order tickets for accuracy.
- Package items securely and prepare them for shipping.
- Operate manual and powered pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in order picking or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety standards and proper PPE usage.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
