About
We are looking for certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our advanced logistics facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products throughout our warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods within our distribution center and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses excellent forklift operation skills, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to interpret loading plans and work orders accurately. Our commitment to Safety is unwavering; all operators must strictly adhere to all Safety regulations, perform daily equipment inspections, and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While the primary role is forklift operation, some manual Lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Transport materials and products to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Store products accurately in racking systems.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform some manual Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
