Seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics hub in Miami, Florida! As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of all shipments. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring a smooth flow of materials into the warehouse. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and properly stocking received items. A strong attention to detail is crucial to prevent discrepancies and ensure accurate record-keeping. We maintain a high standard for safety, and all team members are expected to adhere to safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include:
- Unloading incoming freight from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Verifying received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy in quantity and item description.
- Inspecting received items for damage or defects and reporting any issues.
- Entering receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Properly stocking received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assisting with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicating effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Performing other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
