Join our thriving logistics company as a Picker/Packer in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This role is central to our success, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves, checking for accuracy, and carefully packing them for delivery. We are looking for energetic, reliable individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ability to perform frequent Lifting and work at a steady pace is essential. We provide appropriate PPE and expect strict adherence to all Safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the fast-paced Logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from inventory locations using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify item codes and quantities against order documentation.
- Inspect products for damage before packaging.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping containers.
- Apply correct labels and shipping information to packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform regular Lifting of packages up to 40 pounds.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing goals.
- Support the overall Logistics operations of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual tasks and Lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with Logistics processes is beneficial.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Willingness to wear and use all required PPE.
- Good organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
