About
Join our fast-paced logistics team as a Material Handler in Los Angeles, California! This vital role involves the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that inventory is accurately staged and stored. We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, excellent equipment operation skills, and a deep commitment to Safety. You will play a key part in maintaining the flow of goods within our distribution center. The ability to perform significant Lifting and work in a physically demanding environment is required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to prevent damage and ensure Safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Handle manual Lifting of items up to 70 pounds.
- Support overall warehouse Logistics and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform frequent and heavy Lifting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with various types of warehouse Logistics equipment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
