About
Our San Jose, California distribution center is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within our warehouse, playing a critical role in our logistics and inventory management processes. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a steadfast commitment to workplace Safety. Prior experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment is essential. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure the smooth flow of goods and maintain accurate inventory records. We emphasize the importance of adhering to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE at all times. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform moderate Lifting when necessary and work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. - Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and stage materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport products to and from various warehouse locations.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE during all operating and material handling tasks.
Valid forklift certification is required. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to perform moderate Lifting and physically demanding tasks. Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and the importance of PPE. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Must be reliable and punctual. This role is a key component of our logistics operations, demanding a focus on Safety and efficiency.
