In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other machinery to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, pick, and put away inventory.
- Load and unload trailers and containers safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Organize warehouse space for optimal efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all traffic and safety rules within the warehouse environment.
- Assist other warehouse personnel with logistics tasks as required.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Detail-oriented with good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
