About the Role In this role, you will create, update, and manage practical guidance and resources for IP practitioners. You will collaborate with colleagues across LexisNexis and engage with external experts to ensure our content remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with user needs. You will also help build relationships within the IP community to stay informed about developments and gather feedback.
Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining a market-leading practical guidance offering for the Lexis + Practical Guidance and, as applicable, Lexis + AI/Protege products
Delivering core practical guidance content such as practice notes, precedents, checklists, Q&As and other materials
Developing new content and maintaining existing content to a high standard
Monitoring information sources to identify and report on relevant news and updates regarding legal developments
Working closely with the current awareness team to produce a leading news offering
Contributing ideas for the development of technical solutions with our product teams
Delivering training to the Lexis+ team on technical legal issues and developments
Forging external relationships with law firms and/or authors to promote contribution to Lexis+
Meeting with customers to receive and respond to feedback and to keep up to date with their needs
Engaging with internal sales during engagements with customers
Qualification
Qualified solicitor or barrister
excellent knowledge of IP (ideally with an emphasis on copyright) and the IP sectors
experience of working in a leading private practice law firm or a FTSE company as an in-house lawyer
ability to communicate complex legal concepts and their practical application concisely, clearly and in Lexis+ tone and house style
excellent research, organisation and planning skills, and a strong drive and ability to meet challenging objectives and deliverables
ability to work effectively and co-operatively with others, adopting a can-do attitude
a proactive approach, taking responsibility for continually developing and expanding areas of expertise, skills and knowledge
