About

We are seeking a skilled Power Systems Studies Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in transmission and distribution system analysis using industry-standard tools such as PSSE and TARA.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, contingency analysis, and transient stability.
  • Model, analyze, and validate system performance under normal and disturbed operating conditions.
  • Utilize tools such as TARA and PSSE to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot system models.
  • Collaborate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and independent power producers to ensure system reliability and compliance with applicable standards (NERC, FERC, regional).
  • Provide technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support grid integration studies for renewable energy, distributed energy resources (DERs), and large-scale transmission projects.
  • Stay up to date with evolving industry standards, best practices, and modeling techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in power systems studies.
  • Proficiency with TARA and PSSE software.
  • Strong understanding of power system dynamics, protection, and operations.
  • Familiarity with NERC/FERC requirements and utility/grid planning practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams and clients.
