Area Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Area Janitor to maintain cleanliness and order across multiple facilities within our organization. This vital role ensures that all areas are safe, sanitary, and welcoming for employees, visitors, and clients alike. As an Area Janitor, you will play a key part in supporting the overall facilities maintenance team by performing cleaning tasks that uphold our high standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance
• Handle custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces to promote a healthy environment
• Assist with industrial cleaning duties when necessary, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or safety hazards observed during routine cleaning
• Maintain cleanliness standards by following established procedures for commercial and residential cleaning tasks
• Use janitorial experience to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, buffing, and general facilities maintenance
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Experience with residential painting or specialized cleaning services is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $ $25.72 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
