Authority
This position reports directly to the Home Visiting Program Director. The Supervised Parent Visit Coordinator is responsible for the direct supervision and monitoring of supervised parenting time visits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervised Visitation & Case Services
- Supervise parent-child visits in accordance with court orders, agency referrals, and established program protocols.
- Schedule supervised parenting time visits and complete intake appointments for new clients.
- Complete intake paperwork and compile complete supervised parenting time client files.
- Provide formal and informal feedback to parents during and following visits, as appropriate.
- Provide case management services to assigned families as needed.
Documentation, Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely client files and electronic records.
- Maintain current knowledge of DPHHS requirements and billing procedures for supervised visitation services.
- Complete reports and documentation required by funding sources and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in CPS and DPHHS meetings as required.
- Attend DPHHS provider meetings as needed
Collaboration & Program Support
- Work cooperatively with community agencies, courts, DPHHS, and referral partners.
- Follow up with referring agencies regarding client participation and progress as appropriate.
- Assist with biweekly case staffings and attend weekly staff meetings.
- Schedule and participate in regular supervision meetings with the Home Visiting Program Director.
- Present information about Family Tree Nurturing Center programs to community organizations when requested.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain the supervised visitation client database.
- Answer phones and greet visitors as needed; provide program information and referrals to families.
- Follow all personnel policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Conduct staff training when requested by the Executive Director
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, education, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with families at risk for child abuse and neglect.
- Training and experience in the Nurturing Parenting Program.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (available on site if not already certified).
- Valid Montana Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile liability insurance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and client database systems.
- Knowledge of child abuse and neglect dynamics and effective prevention strategies.
- Ability to work directly with families using a trauma-informed, respectful, and nonjudgmental approach.
- Ability to coordinate services with multiple service providers and community partners.
- Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Ability to identify and resolve conflict effectively.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced nonprofit setting.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Some local travel is required. The employee must be able to provide transportation for clients when required by the position. This role may involve lifting and carrying children, climbing stairs, and occasional exposure to unsanitary conditions.
