About
We are searching for a Commissioning Engineer to support large-scale data center projects across the United States. This role is ideal for a technically driven professional who enjoys working in the field, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring mission-critical systems perform as designed. There are multiple project locations available across the country that we can discuss.
Responsibilities -
- Execute commissioning activities for mission-critical data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and test scripts
- Perform functional performance testing (FPT) for systems such as UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and BMS
- Lead and document integrated systems testing (IST)
- Coordinate with contractors, design teams, owners, and vendors during commissioning phases
- Review design documents, submittals, and shop drawings for commission ability
- Identify deficiencies, track issues, and verify corrective actions
- Produce clear, detailed commissioning reports and turnover documentation
- Support site visits, witnessing, and startup activities from construction through handover
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of commissioning experience, preferably within
data centers or other mission-critical facilities - Strong understanding of
power and cooling infrastructure
for data centers - Familiarity with commissioning standards (ASHRAE, NEBB, AABC, or equivalent)
- Ability to travel extensively (50–75%+) across the US
- Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills
