The ideal candidate will have a natural passion for digital privacy, software development, and great user experiences. As an Engineer on this team, you will be on the cutting edge of Zero-Trust and agentic development - the future of data and service protectionResponsibilities:Collaborate with product management, marketing, and other engineers to design, develop, test, and deliver new software solutions to marketDevelop and deliver well written prototype integrations using agentic development tools, in a sprint.Stay on top of technology trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and sharing what you've learned with othersOffer up solutions and develop quality integrations highlighting Virtru capabilities working with partner softwareBuilding software that will meaningfully impact how people approach data privacyWork collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where you'll touch a variety of projects and productsComfortable learning and developing with go, javascript, or java to build reliable, scalable background servicesTake ownership of the entire lifecycle and toolchain of an application from code to deploymentRequirements:Strong experience with developing against APIs and SDK integrations3+ years of experience in one the following languages:Go, Java, JavascriptFamiliarity with Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini Code, Code Copilot, or other agentic development toolsExperience developing contract, unit, and integration tests manually and with agentic support.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical disciplineAt least 3 years of professional software engineering experienceStrong demonstrable understanding of software design patternsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writingMotivated by delivering customer value and impactVirtruvian qualities that will set you up for success:Thinking outside of the box to respectfully challenge your teammates and managers in the pursuit of excellenceStrong sense of urgency with an action-oriented mindsetAble to collaborate and adapt to shifting priorities as business needs evolveComfortable with asynchronous communication including slack, email, zoom, etc.Perks & Benefits:At Virtru, we believe people do their best work when their wellbeing is put first.
