About The Role
The Senior Data Analyst plays a crucial role in designing and implementing data processes and solutions that support strategic decision-making within the organization. This position involves analyzing complex data sets, developing insights through statistical techniques, and creating tools such as dashboards and reports to monitor and enhance business performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver actionable insights. The role requires a strong foundation in data management, analysis, and visualization, with an emphasis on accuracy, clarity, and effective communication of findings. The Senior Data Analyst will also support ongoing data monitoring efforts, develop standard reports, and contribute to process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience preferred
  • Experience with Databricks is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid and Managed Care, especially within Texas, is highly desirable
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization
  • Proficiency in data extraction, management, and analysis from multiple sources
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and industry-standard data tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data processes and solutions for diverse datasets used in mining, analysis, and modeling
  • Extract, compile, and manage large data sets from various systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, tracking, and trending processes for data integrity and performance
  • Prepare clear, organized reports, summaries, and analysis for management and stakeholders
  • Support the creation of regularly scheduled reports to aid executive decision-making
  • Research and analyze report results to identify trends, opportunities, and potential improvements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop new standard reports and processes
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources, utilizing industry tools or manual methods as needed
  • Develop dashboards, algorithms, and queries to monitor business performance and identify areas for optimization
  • Communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, translating technical insights into understandable language
  • Support ongoing data management activities and contribute to process enhancements
