About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to serve as the analytical backbone of our finance team. This hybrid role combines technical expertise with strategic financial insights, making it ideal for a professional who is fluent in finance and data analysis. You will be responsible for supporting senior leadership with ad-hoc data requests, developing robust financial models, and creating interactive dashboards in Tableau to enhance reporting capabilities. Your work will directly influence decision-making processes, improve financial planning accuracy, and streamline reporting workflows. This position offers a unique opportunity to own the full spectrum of financial data analysis, from complex SQL queries to visualization and stakeholder communication, in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or financial analyst
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex, multi-table joins, aggregations, and window functions
  • Strong understanding of core finance and accounting principles (P&L, OpEx, CapEx, accruals, journal entries)
  • Experience using BI tools such as Tableau or Looker for data exploration and visualization
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a curiosity-driven, detective mindset
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Location: Must be physically located and working from Oregon or Georgia

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key data partner to finance leaders, managing ad-hoc data analysis requests from senior management
  • Conduct complex variance analyses and perform deep dives on large datasets to identify business performance drivers
  • Develop and maintain driver-based financial models supporting long-term planning and scenario analysis
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive financial dashboards and reports in Tableau, transitioning from static Excel reports
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly management reports that deliver actionable insights
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance Operations, and FP&A teams to enhance data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Work closely with the accounting team during month-end close to ensure accurate accruals and financial statements
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial planning and reporting processes for greater efficiency
  • Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries to extract and synthesize data from various sources, including ERP, CRM, and data warehouses
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to define data requirements, build pipelines, and ensure data reliability
