is seeking a
Project Engineer
in
Tustin, CA
.
As a Civil Engineer focused on site design, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing various aspects of land development projects. This role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, proficiency in relevant design software, and the ability to contribute to project success through innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
Site Planning and Design
- Apply civil engineering principles to develop comprehensive site plans for various projects.
- Conduct site layout, grading, drainage, utility design, and other site development activities.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Facilitate the permitting process and coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.
Technical Proficiency
- Utilize design software (such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD) to create detailed plans and drawings.
- Perform calculations related to grading, stormwater management, and utility systems.
Client Interaction
- Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and address client concerns or inquiries.
Project Management
- Develop project schedules, budget estimates, and identify critical milestones.
- Coordinate with project teams and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough reviews of design plans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the design process.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design projects.
- Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
