We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Director to lead and actively participate in the maintenance operations of our healthcare facility. This role requires someone who is not only capable of managing a team but is also comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get the job done alongside their staff. If you're a proactive problem solver with technical know-how and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and actively participate in daily maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, generators, and general facility upkeep.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment and infrastructure are safe, clean, and operating efficiently.
- Develop maintenance staff schedules and provide strong team supervision and support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, warranties, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues with urgency and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, labor laws, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs, upgrades, and new equipment installations.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and administration to maintain a high standard of facility safety and cleanliness.
- Communicate regularly through internal channels, including WhatsApp team group chats.
Requirements:
- Must be available 24/7 for emergency maintenance situations.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems and general maintenance practices in healthcare environments.
- Excellent leadership and planning skills with a hands-on management approach—leading by example and working directly with your team when needed.
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions and solve problems efficiently.
- Skilled in inspecting and maintaining facility infrastructure, equipment, and resident rooms.
- Experience in managing maintenance supplies, equipment, and budgeting.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to explore and implement new maintenance methods and technologies.
