About
We are currently seeking an Experienced Security Installation Technician. Minimum 1 year of experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for the installation, set-up, and maintenance of security systems and related equipment
· Ability to follow blueprints of electrical layouts
· Responds to a variety of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and after-hours calls to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of system issues
· Handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls
· Assist or perform system programming, thorough test of the alarm system, and customer training in the use of all system functions
· Run all types of wire and cable through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets and position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping
· Test and repair circuits and sensors
· Installation and configuration of hard wired and wireless networks and all associate components (Networking/IT)
· Preserve customer and client confidentiality
Additionally, the ideal candidate should:
· Experience in one or more of the following areas: Electronic Security, Alarm, Video and Access Control
· Demonstrate strong communication skills including verbal and written
· Knowledge in structured cabling and other advanced cabling technologies
· Interact with both internal and external customers in a professional, customer service-oriented manor
· Work under pressure and meet deadlines through strong time management skills
· Maintain a professional appearance
· Communicate intelligently with Project Managers and co-workers
· Process necessary paperwork and take notes as required in a detailed oriented manor
· Be committed to quality and exceeding customer expectations making security a top priority
· Ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere
· Physically be able to meet requirements of the job which include carrying items of at least 50+ pounds unassisted, standing on feet for up to 8 hrs. a day, bending down frequently
· Flexibility to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
· Willingness to travel as required (approximately 4-6 times a year)
· Possess an Associate's degree in a related field or have equivalent industry work experience (additional certifications will be taken into consideration)
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS AND BENEFITS
· Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:30AM – 4:30PM
