About
We are hiring a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our Omaha, Nebraska facility. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all inventory is accurately accounted for and properly stored. Your attention to detail will be key to maintaining the integrity of our warehouse operations and supporting our overall logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect items for any damage incurred during transit and document findings.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for distribution to appropriate warehouse areas or departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment for moving inventory.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding receiving discrepancies.
- Ability to handle occasional heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Understand the flow of goods within the logistics process.
- Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of warehouse operations.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all incoming materials.
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred. Strong data entry skills and familiarity with WMS software. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is advantageous. A commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is essential. This role requires a sharp eye for detail and a dedication to maintaining accurate inventory records.
