About
We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming inventory. Your primary duties will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and stocking items appropriately. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining organized records are crucial. You will play a vital part in our logistics chain by ensuring that all received goods are accounted for and ready for distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and receive merchandise.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, checking for accuracy in quantity and item type.
- Inspect incoming shipments for any damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Accurately document all received inventory using the warehouse management system.
- Tag and label incoming goods as required.
- Stock received items in appropriate warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures in logistics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
