In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating staff, and optimizing workflows to support our logistics network. Your leadership and problem-solving skills will be vital to maintaining high standards of performance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and dispatching of goods.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory records through regular audits and system updates.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency and space utilization.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all machinery is in safe working order.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory or operations.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and motivate staff.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and experience implementing them.
- Ability to handle moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Experience in logistics and supply chain management.
