Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely (if certified).
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes as needed.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
- Participate in training to enhance skills in logistics and safety.
- Perform tasks involving regular and heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety standards.
- Strong understanding of PPE and workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of basic logistics principles.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
