This role is crucial for maintaining the optimal functioning of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, directly supporting our logistics operations. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various warehouse machinery, including conveyors, forklifts, and automated systems. Safety is our top priority; you must be well-versed in all safety regulations, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Install new equipment and systems.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE usage and LOTO procedures.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new warehouse technologies.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to minimize downtime.
- Ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electrical systems is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to safety and experience with PPE.
