About
Our growing Distribution Center in Des Moines, Iowa, is looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring that products are handled efficiently and accurately from receipt to shipment. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse management, including order picking, packing, stocking, and inventory control. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and quality.
- Stock shelves and maintain organization within the distribution center.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements:
Must be capable of consistent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in a warehouse or Logistics environment is preferred. A strong emphasis on Safety is paramount. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Must be able to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift. Punctuality and reliability are essential. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
