We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately accounted for and processed promptly. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly logging all received items into our inventory system. The Receiving Clerk plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and supporting our overall logistics operations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with other departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure a seamless flow of inventory. A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company guidelines, including the use of required PPE, is essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify delivery contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Enter received goods into the inventory management system accurately and timely.
- Tag and stage received items for distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all Safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and inventory software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and moving of goods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with Safety protocols and ability to wear required PPE.
