About
We are hiring a motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Chicago, Illinois facility. This position is crucial for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Load and unload trucks in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain the receiving and shipping areas to ensure cleanliness and Safety.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a warehouse role is preferred.
- Forklift certification is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with WMS is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Must be committed to wearing and using required PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic in logistics.
