About
We are seeking a proficient Material Handler for our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your tasks will include receiving goods, stocking inventory, preparing orders, and ensuring that all materials are handled safely and accurately. This position is critical to our Logistics operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform physical tasks effectively. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment and expect all team members to adhere to stringent Safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. Experience with material handling equipment and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Unpack, sort, and stock inventory in designated locations.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other manual handling equipment.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and operational procedures.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and protective gloves.
- Be capable of performing tasks involving frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Support the overall Logistics and warehouse team objectives.
- Promote a proactive Safety culture within the workplace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to operate manual material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform frequent Lifting and bending.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety protocols.
