About
We are looking for an Order Picker to join our team at our busy warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations. You will use order lists or scanning equipment to locate and gather the correct items, ensuring that quality and quantity match the order requirements. This role demands a keen eye for detail, the ability to work at a steady pace, and a commitment to maintaining an organized work environment. You will be expected to adhere to all safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure your safety and that of your colleagues. The job requires frequent movement, including standing, walking, and bending, as well as the ability to perform consistent lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify the quantity and condition of picked items before proceeding.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as directed.
- Meet established productivity targets for order picking.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with orders or inventory to a supervisor.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Contribute to a positive and safe warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Proficiency in performing physical tasks, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication skills.
