About
The Challenge:
As a Process Engineer (Medior) at Envalior, you'll play a key role in enhancing our production processes. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and addressing process issues, while also driving and overseeing innovative improvements. You'll contribute to the ongoing enhancement of quality, efficiency, safety, and sustainability within your designated process units. Acting as a vital connector between operations, technology, and project teams, you will foster collaboration across various disciplines.
Key responsibilities:
• Support & Advice: Provide operational support during escalations, process changes, and commissioning. Coordinate shutdowns/start-ups, select processing windows, and deliver quality and safety documentation. Act as a technology expert and interpret customer feedback.
• Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Data driven analysis of losses, identify improvement areas, focused on process and energy efficiency. Draw up functional scopes, conducting feasibility and engineering studies.
• Strategy & Project Management: Manage projects within assigned units, lead medium-to-large improvement initiatives, and contribute to manufacturing strategy. Monitor progress, priorities, and resources.
• Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring: Analyze short- and long-term performance, build models for process variation, and identify improvement opportunities using RCA, FMEA, and OEE metrics.
• Product & Process Development: Coordinate product introductions and scale-ups, validate BOMs, and participate in supplier and customer audits.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and ISO standards. Support Hazop and MOC studies and contribute to process safety lifecycle roles.
• Coordination & Communication: Advise teams, share process knowledge, train operators, and act as a point of contact for junior engineers.
Requirements

Background & Experience:
Bachelor or master's degree in chemical engineering or comparable.
Preferably at least 3 years of Manufacturing and/or R&T experience as process engineer.
Experience with statistical techniques and evaluation tools.
In-depth knowledge of the plant and products: process, recipes, raw materials, and applications.
Qualification in Green Belt Lean/Six Sigma is preferred.
Strong safety awareness.
Knowledge of work processes (OPN, AU) and Quality System ISO TS 16949.
Experience with and knowledge of RCA/FMEA methodology and SHE/Risk assessment.
Good communication skills, team player, and mindset to continuously improve.
Result oriented, hands-on attitude and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in Dutch and a good level of English.
