About
We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our Omaha, Nebraska team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move materials throughout our warehouse. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. This is a critical position within our logistics operations, requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. All employees are expected to adhere to strict safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts.
- Ensure that all loads are properly secured and balanced.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of forklift safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
