Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our expanding logistics facility in Nashville, Tennessee. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, store, and retrieve materials within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to various departments, and ensuring accurate inventory placement. Your commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be expected to conduct daily equipment inspections and adhere to all established safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a keen eye for detail to prevent damage to goods and ensure inventory accuracy. The ability to work collaboratively with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced setting is essential. Previous experience with a variety of forklift types is a significant advantage. This role is a cornerstone of our logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts to move, stack, and arrange inventory.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Transport goods to and from different areas of the warehouse.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Support logistics team with various operational tasks as needed.
  • Must be able to handle frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Forklift Operator with verifiable experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Proficiency in operating different types of forklifts.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Physical stamina for lifting and prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules.
