We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our daily warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from designated areas, and performing routine equipment checks to ensure operational safety and maintenance. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent damage to products and ensure accurate inventory management. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, is highly preferred. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including strict guidelines on PPE usage, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Must be comfortable with frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
