We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Boise, Idaho. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our efficient warehouse operations and requires a commitment to accuracy and speed. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of products and ensuring they are correctly picked, packed, and labeled. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus, but not required as comprehensive training will be provided. This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting. Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order slips.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation when required.
- Contribute to team goals and meet performance standards.
- Participate in ongoing training to improve skills and knowledge of logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
