About
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for counting, tracking, and managing stock, as well as identifying and resolving discrepancies. Your role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures. Physical capability for tasks such as moderate Lifting and operating inventory equipment is also required. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts (cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventories).
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies by investigating causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report any stock-outs or overstock situations.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory locations.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all Safety protocols and procedures.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment for moving inventory.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a related warehouse/inventory control role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and correctly.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics best practices.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety regulations.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks, including moderate Lifting.
