We are seeking a diligent and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting stock. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety, and the physical ability to perform the required tasks. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your primary focus will be on maintaining an organized and efficient workspace, ensuring that all materials are handled with care and precision. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, or other designated areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verify counts and condition of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
