About
We are looking for a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and stocking received items appropriately. This position is critical to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring smooth logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. You will work closely with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate receiving. If you thrive in a structured environment and are committed to accuracy, this role is for you. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Inspect incoming shipments for any damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Safety regulations.
- Ensure the correct use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as required.
- Be prepared for moderate Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse receiving environment preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Good communication skills.
