Solar Service Technician
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including construction sites. As a Solar Technician, you will play a crucial role in promoting renewable energy solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair residential and commercial systems
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings related to solar installations.
- Measure voltage using voltmeters and ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment relevant to solar installations.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and high voltage electrical work.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety practices.
- Familiarity with voltmeters for measuring electrical output.
- Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations as they pertain to solar installations.
- Background as a commercial electrician is highly desirable.
- Ability to plumb systems accurately for optimal performance.
- Experience reading schematics and technical documentation related to electrical systems.
- And any other jobs assigned by the Supervisor.
