About

We are seeking a Lab Assistant/ Phlebotomist to join our growing organization The Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist supports patient care by performing blood draws and assisting with routine laboratory procedures in a fast-paced outpatient, nonprofit clinic. This role is responsible for specimen collection, processing, and accuracy while providing compassionate, patient-centered service aligned with the clinic's mission.

  • Correctly identifies patients and properly collects appropriate amounts of blood necessary for specified testing.
  • Efficiently operates CLIA waived machines and centrifuges. Runs QC as needed.
  • Collects and receives blood, tissue, urine and other bodily fluids from patients safely and accurately.
  • Capable of performing venipuncture on all patients from geriatric to pediatric, regardless of difficulty.
  • Performs clerical duties required to process orders and obtain results.
  • Stays up to date with knowledge on new lab processes and collection changes.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program.
  • 2+ years experience with blood draws on all age ranges.
  • Intermediate computer skills. Familiarity with electronic health record programs.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • BLS CPR certification.
